Want to know something interesting? I just realized this project is a gateway into you understanding my showering habits. Allow me to explain: since the bangs require more maintenance, I do my hair on the days I have showered. The process is towel dry, product, blow dry, pin back, straighten. Well, on the days I wash my hair, at least. As the days go on and my bangs get progressively derpier or else shoved aside entirely, you'll know that I DGAF.
I like to be preened on Mondays. It sets me up to feel good about the coming week. Unfortunately, the weather is going to be shit for the next few days, and I lamented doing my hair the instant I left the house Monday morning. What I HAVEN'T lamented, though, is this new setting spray by NYX. If you have oily skin, what are you even doing with yourself if you don't have this spray in your arsenal. This $7 bangin' bottle of goodness is way more effective than its expensive sibling, Urban Decay De-slick. UD, you know I love you, but we gotta part ways on this one.
What we'll never part ways on, though, is your Lush Lash mascara. I thought I could find a drugstore substitute. How wrong I was. Truthfully, I never thought I'd be the kind of girl to buy expensive mascara. My cosmetics rationale was that everything c/should be higher end except mascara, since you go through it more quickly. NOPE. I just absolutely love this stuff. The wand is gripped so tightly by the tube, that when you pull it out there is an even and thin coating of mascara on those gloriously-shaped bristles. They hug each lash tenderly and lovingly swipe after swipe, giving you length, some volume, and flutter that's just perfect.
