Hair cut + bonus photo of kitty. I feel like a brand new human being with this look. Big ups to my hair dresser, Amanda. This cut/color is just in time for spring. I just feel so much...better? More lovely? New? New, fo sho.
Honestly, I think Pinched is the best blush I have ever worn. It just always make me look aglow and the hue matches my skin tone so well. It's very summery and bright and gives me "doll" cheeks.
I still hate these tarte liners but I will keep using them, even though they migrate later to the eyelid. UGH. Truthfully, I'm a bit bummed out about this color, 13 Black Rainbows, as it has a lot of glitter in it but the sparkles don't show up too well. Perhaps if I caked it on the flecks might show, but I'm past my slathered-in-black-eyeshadow look. Regardless, I have been nothing but impressed with Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics and I do love this color: the name, the soft smoky payoff, and how the sparkles look in the jar. It applied softly and lightly when I patted it on the lid with a brush, and it's not too dark for daytime wear. I really love what it did to my eyes.
That reminds me- tomorrow I start doing proper reviews! I debated doing this for a while because I wanted this project to be less like other makeup blogs, which are usually review-heavy. Maybe this is snobby, but I do not like many other makeup blogs, for there are far too many tutorials and reviews crammed into one space, the grammar and delivery/opinions are juvenile, and there is a need to incessantly apologize for EVERYTHING (lack of other makeup, ugly face, stupid background, etc...). It is my hope to keep up my blog with the same integrity, simplicity, and visual emphasis with the addition of brand reviews.
Anyway, I have been doing a lot of shopping with indie brands lately whose sellers offer beauty blogger packages, and in this vein I will be dedicated standalone space to indie products rather than clumping a review in a daily post, because they deserve dedicated publicity and I'm happy to support them financially and verbally. Expect to see swatches and my thoughts on the ordering/shopping process, turnaround time, delivery, pigmentation, and color payoff/wear time. I will be dedicating my first review to Notoriously Morbid, then Madison Street Beauty, and then Hello Waffles. I owe these discoveries to r/Indiemakeupandmore. Reddit forever. My experience with indie brands so far as been effing AWESOME, and I recommend each brand listed above thus far. Support the hustlers.
