I wasn't gung ho about these photos after I took them. And even now, nope, still not. Still can't get into them. But it's the eleventh hour on this project. I have to burn the midnight oil, and also just get over myself. The photos showcase the makeup nicely, but I am not fond of how I showcase myself in them.
This project has been very uncomfortable at times. You wrestle with a lot of ego and discomfort and dysmorphia. One day I'm on top of the world with a set of images, then the next set doesn't even look like me or seem to capture my spirit. But, the flip side is that those nuances are what make this project unique.
For this face, I did some nude lips and purple smokey eyes for a Friday night shift at work. I lined my lips and filled them in with Trick, and then applied some chapstick over them. I love this color.
You know what I don't like? It's the hair. Yep, the hair.
