Firstly, it's the actual new year today. So, happy 1393! Hope there was lots of money and fire jumping (we have some killer customs). I spent the evening with my grandma and brother and got to Facetime with some distant family. I wish we could all be together for Norooz someday.
Given that Norooz always falls on the first day of spring and I've been on a color kick this week, I thought I'd ring in the new year with a pink and mint eye. After waking up late and changing my outfit multiple times, I feel like this was thrown together very haphazardly because I was rushing, and then uncertain about the look. The eyeliner in particular (mint julep) needs some more careful consideration, as it's quite bright and very playful and should be worn intentionally. Maybe next time I'll smudge it all over the lids instead of lining my eyes, since Limit ended up muting it after the fact. Still, it's not bad, and it embodies spring.
Notice those marks on my forehead? Well, if you didn't before reading this, then you sure as hell know now. How I got them is quite embarrassing...
...last night, I found this clip on a friend's Facebook wall. Naturally, curiosity got ahold of me and I wanted to watch. Anyone who knows me well will tell you I scare easily and was probably an idiot to watch it at night before going to bed. (PSA- this is pants-shittingly scary if you're anything like me, though it's a well done film. Just do use caution, srsly). I hardly made it past the first 30 seconds (which I watched every 2 seconds between pauses) before I NOPED out of there and waited until my boyfriend got home so I could watch it with him.
So, we're watching this video together and at the end (oh, it's also only like 2 minutes long), there is something before the blackout so frightening that my severe terror caused me to clutch at my face at supersonic speed with claws out. I'm talking pure gut fear reaction. I was in flight mode, for sure. Unfortunately, I broke the skin on my forehead on my own nails in a fit of terror.
TLDR: watched a scary movie, clutched my face at the end because of fright, accidentally cut my forehead open on my own nails.
