My hair makes me feel incredible.
I always wanted to be blonde/have light hair but was afraid I could never pull it off.
The color (and the cut shown here) were done for free. A salon owner I served at WA Frost left me her information and asked if I'd be a model for a color class. After I got my hair lightened, the stylist asked if he could cut it as a demo for some of his colleagues. These changes occurred between early September and the day before my birthday.
The timing was perfect. I was shrouded in misery from the break up. The change in hair transformed me into a new woman. Hell, even the month of September was a welcome buoy. As such, I shed the weight of my old self and stretched a bit higher into a new, fresh persona. A phoenix coming out of the ashes.
Amanda, if you're reading this, don't think I intentionally betrayed you. You will always be my number one hair stylist. The timing of these offerings was perfect, and free of charge, so I ran with them.
Anyway. Thumbs up the Marc Anthony at Salon 526 for turning me into a more golden version of myself. I gotta be golden. Gotta stay golden. Light banishes dark.
