So, after the Norooz party I went out with friends. At the end of the night, I was too tired and too drunk (see also: brazen) to care about washing my face, so I hit the hay around 3am in full makeup. Do NOT sleep in your makeup as a habit. It makes your skin gross. I woke up around 7am and washed it off at that time.
As such, once I actually woke up, I didn't really want to put on a full face as per usual. Plus, I didn't have the energy. A little tinted moisturizer to nourish the face, a buff of finishing powder, a dab of lip balm, and a few swipes on the brows were enough for a casual Sunday.
Honestly, I feel a bit vulnerable showing photos like these. After all, you've seen consistently full-ish faces for the last 30 days, so this is a bit of a departure. Still, I have to hold true to the promise of this project, and I am still wearing makeup despite the very au natural cast. Makeup shouldn't be used to hide things: I believe its purpose is to enhance what we already have. It's a confidence booster, and not a fallback or cheap trick. Despite the vulnerability, I feel beautiful without makeup and am happy to tone down the routine every once in a while.
