Sephora Cream of the Crop Top Colorful Gloss Balm
On a recent grey day I opted for pinks to brighten the palette. Also digging into more recent Sephora-brand purchases, like the liners and lip gloss. The colorful gloss balm is so awesome, I love the way it feels and the medium opacity color coverage it offers is excellent.
The MAC eyeshadows impart a soft pink wash over the eyelid without being too garish. Paradisco is a soft, orange-based pink with a hint of shimmer. I washed it all over the lid and then shaded with a more fuchsia Sushi Flower. I love the way Sushi Flower deepened the whole look. Then I highlighted with a super bright color called Scallop Shell. I got it a few years ago when the color of the year was Tangerine Tango. It's part of a quad with orange, purple and black. The color is a soft, creamy white that's got a bit of a peachy glint underneath it when the light is right. It's so pretty and so soft and I wish I could buy a standalone version. Alas, when it dies it will be no more.
I'm also using a brand new foundation since this this look. CoverFX is a brand I've wanted to try for a long time. I have all their custom oil infusion drops but never used their foundation. It's a dropper bottle system, almost like a serum delivery system. Their name to fame with the dropper foundations is the intense coverage it imparts. One drop allows a sheer coverage but just a couple more gives a super full and thick coverage. In hindsight I think the N35 cover is a bit too dark for me but since summer is coming and I tan pretty easily, this color will work just fine. I'm a big fan!
