Still on the pop of color kick, this time in the form of a super saturated yellow eyeliner.
I'm going to be completely honest and say that these Sephora-brand eyeliners are fucking amazing. I like them way better than Urban Decay 24/7 liners and they are pretty much up to par with Makeup Forever, too. I think for the price point ($12...?) they cannot be beaten. They are waterproof as hell so you have to work quickly with them if you want to smudge, and you never need to swipe it more than twice to get that finish and staying power.
I used Banana Split at the lash line and then highlighted my brow bone with Blonde Ambition. This was a challenge since I had to blend the color to soften the highlight but also didn't want to smudge by already-done brows, so I might reverse the process next time or else stick to eyeshadow/powder formulas to highlight.
Lately I've been into using weird colors to highlight...icy baby blue or pale lavender...just that small flash of color in the right light is such a fun surprise element. My other favorite move is using a damp Beautyblender pressed into a shimmery baked eyeshadow and using that process/product method to highlight the cheek and brow areas.
Next time I might use a better suited lip product. This particular Viva Glam gloss from Rihanna's collection has a pale violet/grey/taupe thing going on. Though the use of purple with yellow is a subtle nod to the color wheel's complimentary pairing of the two hues, I think the lip is a bit undead. Next time I might stick with pinks.
