TGIF! Not really, since Fridays are more like my Mondays.
I know it's hard to see, but I dyed my hair purple since my last set of photos, and I'm really digging the change. I layered violet dye over the pink, and ultimately I'm happy with it. I like the tonal differences. However, since some of my hair was a bit orangey, this violet looks a bit muddied on top of those areas. I'll need a bit of lightening magic from my stylist in the coming month or so to boost the tones, but for now I'm happy to be done with pink!
So, for this look I wanted to do a low key brown smokey eye for an easy day-to-night transition. I was going to work a wedding as well and wanted something elegant for the affair but would also work well at night when I got to the restaurant. I have this amazing little black case of 12 Makeup Forever eyeshadows (mind you they're the size of a penny) that I hardly ever use, so I decided to pull it out and use the colors within. Love, love, LOVE these eyeshadows. The formula is really buttery and almost like a wet satin, yet is powder-based. They wear well and blend nicely. I got a ton of their shadows in NYC recently and have a feeling I'll be using them more and more.
