This day was cruel and unusual. I was in the midst of my second wave sickness (thanks, small children), and I was actually feeling really good. Rested, less stuffy in the head, more alert. Toussaint and I planned a dinner date and I hadn't worn makeup all week so I went for a full fledged blue halo eye, inspired by this lovely look on this lovely gal. Then, in the middle of dinner, BOOM: stuffy nose, watering eyes, sneezing every ten goddamn seconds. It was terrible.
However, what wasn't terrible was the final outcome of this eye makeup, this style of which is something I don't normally wear because blue eyeshadow can be so hit or miss. I reached for so many blues along the spectrum and the main reason I really dig this look is because the blues span the warmer end of turquoise to the frosty baby blue colors to the cool bluish violets and pale purples. Given my recent love of neutrals (aside from the occasional pop of demonic neon orange), this look is a total 180 for me lately.
Update: as of today (4/9/15), I'm finally feeling better and mostly recovered.
