Remember how gorgeous and warm last Sunday was? It was the perfect day to have dinner with the family, as well as to ride my bike all over creation. We planned to meet at Wise Acre at 5pm, and I just couldn't believe that the sun was still so bright and it was 66 degrees! I'm normally a freeze baby, but I ditched my cardigan for the ride over because my skin thirsted for sunlight.
Also, braid in my hair. Weird, right? Not typical of my personal coiffures. But, springtime does make people stir crazy and I think this was the result of some long pent up winter energy exploding into a welcoming frenzy of spring's tidings, which meant throwing my hair into a new style. Or something. Since I had to put my hair back for the bike ride I thought "why not braid?". It's pretty to see the pink and brown twirled together, though braiding my hair is difficult because I have so many layers that strands tend to stick out like haywire from the damn thing. The braid did not last long.
Also, this lipstick. I friggin love this lipstick. I don't own a lot of high end makeup (YSL, Tom Ford, Chanel, etc...) other than one YSL lip balm (and boy is that thing juicy and luxurious), but when this Givenchy sample runs out you can bet your bottom I'll be dashing to Sephora to get a full size. Of any lipstick I've ever owned EVER, none has made me feel more feminine and lovely than this one. It's the harbinger of better things to come: summer, coral colors, patio season, etc... A few swipes and I feel like the princess of spring. Plus, it matches my hair nowadays! Of course, I'll need to find an equal lipstick match when I make the soon-to-be-coming switch to lavender...
